BI Developer - Microsoft SQL Server Stack - SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
Montreal Associates are urgently searching for a BI Developer for a permanent position based in London.
Role overview :
A BI Datawarehouse Developer (Microsoft SQL Server Stack - SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) is required for one of the world's leading e-commerce search and comparison engines.
As the Datawarehouse Developer you will be involved in developing and maintaining the global Business Intelligence capability. As part of the role you will be the main contact in the design and construction of the Data Warehouse supporting data marts as well as reporting using Microsoft tools.
Essential requirements:
Full stack experience SSAS, SSRS, SSIS as a developer
Fluent English - written and verbal
Can design and build cubes and ETLs
Key Duties
Work on teams of 3-4 people to deliver BI SQL Server solutions using an Agile development methodology
Design and develop data warehouses and ETL solutions in SSIS
Design and develop multidimensional cubes in SSAS
Design and develop data mining solutions
Design and develop dynamic dashboards and reports in SSRS
Be the main subject matter expert, liasing with Statistical Analysts on SQL Server best practice
Maintain and develop full backups, differential backups of the database, Administer user access to the system, reports, queries and ensure system performance
Experience required
Building and maintaining an ETL
Building / amending / maintaining SQL Server reports, maintaining access rights in SSRS
Kimball Methodologies
MDX Programming, C# and VB.Net experience preferred
Experience in the web based companies dealing with millions and billions of rows of data preferred
Working in an international environment where the team is spread across multiple countries preferred
Good level of knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Stack - 3+ years preferred
Data warehouse theory (Kimball method strongly preferred)
Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 Database engine, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
Other notes (travel requirements, languages, qualifications etc)
degree (2:1 or above)
Fluent English required
Additional European languages an advantage
A little travel will be required with this role
